Lilies on the beach at Swakopmund A pencil drawing looking north along the beach: the Atlantic on the left, the Namib dunes on the right, and Swakopmund with its lighthouse in the distance where they meet. A lily sprouts from the sand and opens into a bouquet, the bouquet is painted in colour, and a bag is drawn around it, held by a woman standing on the beach.

Flowers and birds,
painted to be carried.

The idea

Each bag is a painting first. Sunbirds, bougainvillea, flamingos and desert blooms, painted in Marie Hélène's Swakopmund studio, one piece at a time.
